50 Cent Partners Wit Pontiac To Create Custom Ride

50 Cent yesterday (October 30) unveiled his customized version of Pontiac’s G8 at the 2007 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The G-Unit boss teamed up with Pontiac and celebrity car tuner, Will Castro, well known for his TV show Unique Whips, to create a fully customized G8 sedan with unique features including headrests and floor mats stitched with a 50 Cent logo and an 800 watt audio system.
“Partnering with Pontiac has given me the opportunity to create something truly unique – a customized performance vehicle I am really proud of,” 50 Cent said. “The G8 is like none other and it pushes the boundaries of what people think a car has to be.”
50 showed off his enthusiasm for Pontaics earlier this year in the video for his single “Amusement Park”, which featured the Pontiac’s G8 and G6 GXP.
The G8 goes on sale nationally in early 2008.

Rapper Curtis Jackson isn't quite as flamboyant as some of his musical contemporaries. In a unique collaboration with Pontiac, the hip-hop superstar better known as 50 Cent shows remarkable restraint in creating a special edition of the soon-to-be-released G8 sedan.
The 50 Cent G8 is a collaboration with Will Castro's New York-based Unique Autosports, of Unique Whips fame. Two features stand out.
Under the hood is a 7.0-liter LSX 427 V8 from the GM Performance Parts catalog. It shares many of its basic components with the Corvette Z06's LS7 engine and is dyno-tested to more than 500 horsepower.
Equally earth-shaking is the custom 800-watt JBL audio system, which bundles amplifiers, tuner, speakers and subwoofer.
A few additional touches include low-profile Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires on 22-inch NC Forged chrome deep-dish wheels, a Borla stainless-steel exhaust system and a Spies Hecker torch-red exterior paint job accented with dark-tinted glass and taillamps.
The only real hint of excess is found inside, where the black leather seats have been retrimmed with perforated red-leather inserts and a 50 Cent/Unique Autosports logo embroidered into the headrests.
What this means to you: The car is not nearly as angry as the tunes.

Rapper 50 Cent has teamed with Pontiac to produce his own customized G8 sedan it was revealed last night (October 30) at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.
The rapper unveiled a prototype of the customized Pontiac G8, which was designed with Will Castro from Unique Autosports.
The sedan features custom paint, 22 inch rims, a customized exhaust system, leather interior, an 800 watt system, low-profile Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires and other features.
According to a press release, over 30,000 G8 sedans will be shipped to the United States the first year.
"Partnering with Pontiac has given me the opportunity to create something truly unique, a customized performance vehicle I am really proud of," 50 Cent said. "The G8 is like none other and it pushes the boundaries of what people think a car has to be."
The G8 is being manufactured by Holden in Australia and will go on sale in the United States in 2008.

Demnächst gehen 30.000 Pontiac G8 Schlitten designed by 50 Cent in Produktion.
Wenn es irgendwelche Männerträume gibt, die sich 50 Cent noch nicht erfüllt hat, dann hat er als 'Rap Rentner' jetzt wohl genug Zeit um sich selbige zu erfüllen.  " border="0"> Soeben schloss er sich mit der Automarke General Motors zusammen, um in Zusammenarbeit mit Will Castro von Unique Autosports seine eigene Serie von Pontiacs G8 (die man auch in seinem Video zu 'Amusement Park' bestaunen konnte) zu pimpen. Insgesammt sollen erst mal 30.000 der
500 PS starken Fiddy Schlitten mit extrem dicken Schlappen, 800 Watt Power Anlage, Low Profile Pirelli Scorpion Zero Reifen, einem speziell angefertigten Abgas System und anderem Schnick Schnack in Australien in Produktion gehen.
